Supporting Local Charity This Christmas

Last year instead of spending money on a Secret Santa present we decided to support our local childrenā€™s charity, West Lothian Toy Appeal, by donating toys. We decided to do the same this year. For most of us, the festive season is a happy time. But families all over the UK will struggle, especially during these unpredictable times. Last year, West Lothian Toy Appeal managed to help provide a bag of gifts to over 2,600 kids from over 750 families! Who are West Lothian Toy Appeal and what do they do? The Toy Appeal started in 1984 and has helped...

We are proud to continue to support our local community

As a company and as individuals, we believe that it is essential to give back to our local community, especially during these difficult and unpredictable times. Last year it was brought to our attention Sunndach was trying to source bespoke swings for disabled children. Unfortunately, due to the high cost quoted, this wasnā€™t possible. As a manufacturer, we have the resources to design and manufacture bespoke products. We contacted Sunndach and offered to not only manufacture swings designed to their specific requirements, but also donate them. Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Sunndach is a 24-hour nurse-led respite centre within NHS...

Our Commitment to Giving Back

As a company and as individuals, we believe that it is essential to give back to our local community. Over the years, we have supported Social Bite with their mission to end homelessness. Each year employees from the Emtez group participate in Social Biteā€™s Sleep in the Park. Sleep in the Park is an event encouraging people to sleep outside in sub-zero conditions with a sleeping bag. Although it can never recreate the true experience of homelessness, it can undoubtedly generate awareness and empathy to those who are homeless. As you could imagine, the experience is mentally and physically exhausting...

During these unpredictable times, we cannot overlook our responsibility as an organisation to support our local charities who are helping those who have been affected further by the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. It is hoped that the donation will allow the charity to optimise their spend more efficiently on the essentials they require from financial contributions rather than worries of PPE supply. Sleep in the Park

In December of last year, five members of the EmtezĀ and Romold teams took part inĀ Sleep in the ParkĀ as part ofĀ Social Biteā€™sĀ mission to eradicate homelessness in Scotland. With temperatures dropping to minus 7, whilst there was entertainment and laughs, it was no easy task. For anyone who has slept outside in sub-zero conditions with a sleeping bag probably not fit for those kind of temperatures, it hurts. Mentally and physically, it is utterly exhausting ā€“ your body fights to protect itself from the cold which means you get little to no sleep. The team were lucky enough to be kitted out...
